Hi,

Can somebody please point me to some information on how the procedure for the IT department of one our potential customer to download their CRM online database on an ongoing manner.

Not sure what you are trying to achieve by downloading the CRM DB, but this is not doable since you are using CRM Online. You could potentially think of data replication using tools like Scribe Insight to download some of the transactional data from CRM to a local database.

If you were using CRM On-Premise, you had the option of backing up the CRM DB on a daily basis.

You could raised a support request CRM Online DB backup.

However for ongoing manner it's better to do data warehousing using either Scribe or SSIS approach as Karth answer above.

You can start by kicking off a free 14 day trial and seeing what the schemas look like.

I can confirm that you can open a Support Request with CRM Online Technical Support at the following link - www.microsoft.com/.../contact-technical-support.aspx and

request a database copy of the current state of your CRM Online organization, which you can later import to your onpremise organization for test purposes.
