We have Outlook 2013 - Should we installed Plugin 2013 or 2016?

With Outlook 2013 is it better to use the CRM Plugin for 2013 or 2016? Obvously 2016 is newer so would staying consistent by installing the Plugin 2013 work better, or should we go ahead and install the 2016 plugin?

It says our version is 8.01 so that's not 8.1 correct? I guess either way its best to just use 8.0 client?

Hi,

as Jonathan Daugaard already mentioned, it depends on the CRM-Server-Version you are running.

If you are running CRM 2016 8.1, use the Plugin for CRM 2016. But be aware, that in the plugin-version of CRM 2016 8.1, there is a Bug that crashes your Outlook (https://community.dynamics.com/crm/f/117/t/207322). Therefor, use the CRM 2016 8.0 Client, until the bug is fixed by Microsoft.

Hi,

The version applies mostly to which version CRM is running in. Are you running CRM 2016 then should you use Outlook client 2016. For full details of requirements for Outlook client see technet.microsoft.com/.../hh699818(v=crm.8).aspx
