Layered Event Customer Journey

Hi everybody, 

I am starting to use D365M and I am testing it's functionalities when it comes to Event Management and related Customer Journey. 

To set a scene a little (my customer journey looks enormously huge), we are going to have an event.

I set up a Static Segment followed by scheduler (wanna send all of the invites at the same static date), email invitation and then trigger.

I have set up a true path with "specific link clicked" which is link for the registration form (hosted externally, javascript all that jazz).

The wrong path is followed by another scheduler, set for specific date (2 weeks after inv has been send out) and a reminder email, which again contains the same link for registration form. Here are my questions:

1. If the link for the registration form is the same, would the contact automatically follow the first true path and I can just live that branch be?

2. If I want to set up another remindar (scheduler with static date again, 3 weeks after the first reminder), reminder 2 would be sent out, would it follow the original true path from the begining?

3. If the answer for the two previous questions is no, is there a way just to redirect the reminder (wrong) paths back to the original path?

Currently my CJ has probably 6 wrong paths set up, which makes it enormous and complex. My problem also is, that for each of the wrong paths (if they click the registration form, submit it, etc), each email has to be a new one, because when I check for the errors it tells me, that I am using the same email in two places. Can I just ignore that error?

    Hi MaiElorym,

    Thank you for your questions.

    1) Contact will follow the first true path of the condition that is met (in this case -> the right link got clicked).

    2) I'm not sure if I understand the question. If a particular contact is e.g. in the middle of your journey (already got reminder 2 email and clicked a link) - he/she would not start the journey from the beginning, but would continue traversing through the subsequent journey steps.

    Regarding your question about the same emails -> we don't advise using exactly the same email more than once in a journey so that it's easier to analyze the insights later on.

    I hope this helps. If you need some more clarifications, please include a mock/draft of your journey so that we can understand your journey structure better.
