Modifying Sales Transaction Entry window

I want to modify the sales transaction entry window so we can see the item description and the Ship To Item Tax Schedule ID without having to open the Item Detail window or use the Show Details view. I have not used Modifier beyond hiding fields. Is adding a field as simple as finding it and adding it on? Or is this way beyond a beginner level modifier?

    Hi Tracey,

    It is very simple, try this:

    • Open the SOP_Entry form using modifier.

    • Open the SOP_Entry window.

    • Open the scrolling window Line_Scroll.

    • In the Toolbox select SOP_LINE_WORK table.

    • Once you select SOP_LINE_WORK table you will presented in the toolbox with all fields available for the scrolling window.

    • Just drag and drop any new field you want to add to the scrolling window.

    • Set the properties of the new fields as required.

    • Set the tab sequence (Layout > Set Tab Sequence)

    • Set up GP security for the modified form using the "Alternate/Modified Forms and reports" window.
