MR - The row definition contains more than one financial dimensions link

Hi,

I am getting the below warning when running the MR report:

The row definition contains more than one financial dimensions link. Since the report does not use the row definition from reporting tree option, the report will use the first financial dimensions link to generate the report.

Below is snapshot of the row definition:

I don't see more than one financial dimension link...

    Hi Sam Khawaja,

I just noticed this 'old' thread.

Have you been able to get the issue resolved in the meantime?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi

If you open the row dimensions link button what can you see there? Is there a financial dimension / worksheet / etc. Link that does not exist?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

There is one financial dimension 'Vendor', which is activated in AX > financial dimensions, and has one financial dim value as a record. However it is not part of any account structure. In other words , it is not used yet.

    Will that be the problem?

    Thanks

    Sam

    Hello Sam,

That is not exactly what I mean.

If you open the following button,

    2335.mr.png

can you see a financial dimension row link that comes from the Standard contoso Reports and links for example to Dynamics GP or something else that you don't use?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi,

I see the same financial dimension that shows on your screen. Nothing else.

    Thanks

    Hello SAM,

So, there is no column 'K' in your row definition, right?

Can you test what happens if you setup a new row definition - for example with one single account only - and use it with your report to see whether the error message pops up again?

Another thing that would be interesting to know is whether your report has a linkage to another MR Report or to an external Excel spreadsheet.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi,

It looks that creating a new row definition resolved the issue. Thank you!
