AX Service management and Projects for customer machinery

Hi

Anyone else using standard AX Service/Projects to manage service of customer machines (predominantly plant maintenance). I'd been keen to understand the structure, ie Projects and Subprojects, per machine, linked to service agreement per machine etc etc.

    Hi,

    For this type of operations you can use standard AX, but it has some quirks and limitations. There are add-ons available for Asset Enterprise Management (EAM) in AX. These add-ons help you better in the operational area.

    Thanks for your information. Currently my customer need plant maintenance module too

    and we had Dynamics AX 2012 R3 testing instance with full functions already so how can we set up add-ons Asset Enterprisee Management (EAM) for testing?

    Hi Kha Do,

    These add ons are sold via ISV partners and their channel. So you have to contact the ISV partner to be able to get a demo.

    I'm aware of at least:

    - DAXEAM (http://www.daxeam.com)

    - Enterprise Asset Management (http://www.to-increase.com)

    But there might be more similar add-ons available if you search on the internet. I don't have the appropriate knowledge and experience with these two solutions to suggest which one would be better. This could also depend on your requirements.
