How to save ext properties on Return line in POS?

Hi,

I need to set an extension property on the return line in both linked return and non-linked return scenarios in POS. I have tried to implement SaveExtensionPropertiesOnCartLinesClientRequest on POS side to save the property but the standard throws the errors  in screenshot

Is this an expected behavior? Is there any way to set ext properties on -ve line ? Has anyone tried this before and has been successful ?

I get the same error while saving the attributes as well.

I have the same question (0)

What is the trigger or operation you are calling 'SaveExtensionPropertiesOnCartLinesClientRequest' ?

We have a custom operation as the trigger point. As part of the requirement in our project, we need to perform a non linked return in customer order mode. I have tried setting the ext properties from CRT as well, but there seems to be some validations in standard SaveCartRequestHandler that is causing the issue when the cart is in customer order mode.

I think because of the extension properties cart save request is getting called. You are setting up those on return order and where some fields are not allowed to edit. As per my understanding there is no as such a limitations on extensions properties.

I request you to raise a support case with Microsoft so that engineer will go through your code and understand help you to troubleshoot.
