How to use email address field to send email via workflow?

Dear Team,

I am new to Dynamics. I am looking for an help regarding sending email using workflow.

I have created an custom email address field (Cust Email) where users will fill the customers email address in lead form. The requirement is to send email to the email address present in the Cust Email field during lead creation.

I am planning to achieve this using workflow, but I am unable to do so...when I select send email step in workflow...in the To field it doesn't show Cust email address field, it shows the lookup field where I can choose only owner, created by, contact and so on.
