Is there a way for browsers to automatically open attachments without downloading it in business central?
It is possible to link BC to a SharePoint site and then it opens the files in the browser instead. Search for “SharePoint” and apply the relevant setup. Here is an example of that:
Above is standard. However, if you check out appsource there is a SharePoint connector that does a tonne more that is worth a look

Another option depending on your browser is to select the option "Always open files of this type" when it downloads. After selecting that, the next time you click on the file in BC it will open in your default application. We have this working now with PDFs opening in Adobe Acrobat Reader.
