Trade agreement - fixed price on item ignoring discounts

Posted on by 80

Hi,

I'm trying to have a fixed price on a certain item in a trade agreement. The problem is that this item is also part of a discount group.

This results in a discount given on the fixed price. I don't want this to happen - I only want the fixed price on the sales order.

I don't want to remove the item from the discount group since it is generic towards a multitude of customers whereas the fixed price is unique to a specific customer. The discount group is also applicable for the specific customer for the other items in it besides the one with fixed price.

I've tried to remove "Find next" but it does not help.

EDIT: Following is an example made in Contoso. Item D0002 and D0009 must have a fixed price for this specific customer, but must also be part of the generic discount group "CABINET". "Find next" is disabled on all lines.

Following is the result. I don't want the discount applied.

Is this possible while still using a generic discount group?

Thanks in advance.

    Hi MATTGUO,

Thank you for your answer. It works doing that.

    Hi Engelhart,

Create a new discount trade agreement in zero discount with the specific vendor and item, and disable the find next, it should work. Please try it.

The find next feature works for the same type trade agreement (price, line discount, total discount).

    Hi,

So I originally understood it as having the line discount on a group level instead of on a table level.

Maybe I've just misunderstood "Find next" in the sense that it looks at each relation (price/line discount) separately until it finds a valid agreement and not combined. This means that even though "Find next" is disabled, it will still try to find a valid agreement for price and a valid agreement for line discount, and then combine them, even though they have different levels of party code types. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

    Hi,

Sorry for my above answer, my word is misspelled, not discount group, but trade agreement.

Create a new trade agreement with the specific customer and item, and disable the find next button.

    Hi MATTGUO,

    Thank you for your reply.

It works doing that. EDIT: does not work (at least anymore).

For setup/maintenance reasons I had hoped to avoid this, but if it is the only way around it then so be it.

    Hi Engelhart,

Create a new discount group with the specific customer and item, and disable the find next button.
