Removing the "Add Member" audit line from the contact record.

Posted on by 35

D365 8.2 here.

So, in an attempt to reduce the "noise" of our audit log while keeping the good stuff we're reviewing what we can and can't switch off. One thing on the contact record I would sorely like to switch off is the event "Add Member" which is triggered when the contact is added to a marketing list.

I couldn't see any specific way to turn off these events within the General Auditing section or the Auditing by fields section, I thought perhaps it would also be fine if we just turned off all auditing related to marketing however within the settings > auditing section I found the checkboxes under Enable Auditing in the following areas greyed out meaning I couldn't uncheck "Marketing Entities"

Does anyone have any advice as to how I can turn off the auditing for this specific event or even just to turn off all events from Marketing Entities? It would be much appreciated!

    Hi Karsten

Thankyou for the response! Yeah that's the thing, so where I am is

Marketing List (the thing the contact record is being associated with) has Auditing switched OFF

Contact has Auditing switched ON for specific fields

This is an event for the N:N relationship of listcontact_association, it doesn't look to me like you can turn off auditing for that specifically.

Given I don't want to switch off entirely for the contact record am I to then work on the assumption that I won't be able to turn off auditing for this field?

    Hello Tom.

You cannot deactivate them. It's a default setting.

But you can activate and deactivate the auditing on the different marketing entities.

Go to your settings area, open the list of entities and pay attention to the generel entity settings.

    Kind regards,

    Karsten
