Opportunities - users from different business units working on one opportunity

Hi!

Our users are divided between business units and most privileges are given on Parent-Child basis.
Now we have got a request for users from many business units to work together on one opportunity. Is sharing the only possibility?

I have also looked into Connections, but then the user has to have access to the record in order to see that they are connected to it.. (and they don't as they are in another business unit). So this would be ideal if you could give different connection roles a privilege to a certain record.

Teams is also a good idea, but not too efficient if we need to create a new team for every opportunity.

Have I overlooked something? Has any of you ran into the same issue and found a solution?

Brainstorming is also very welcomed, so just write if you have any ideas :D

Hi Vivian,

If I am not wrong, there is already an out of functionaility to achieve this using Sales team for opportunity. Its a predefined subgrid (access team) placed in the out of box opportunity form.
