I am trying to locate in AX the location history of an item but can't find . I need this as I want the same item when it comes back into stock to be in same location as last time it was in stock .  So this item now has zero stock and when I type in item P/N in On-Hand it does not show location history . Is it possible to run a report to show previous location an item was in,  also great for tracebility .

    You have the item trace functionality (inventory management > inquiry > item trace) or go hard core and run through the item transactions (inventTrans). You should find a general for this under inventory management > inquiry.

    I agree with Fredrik, depending on what version of AX you are using you should be able to go to the item master (AX2009 and earlier) or product master (AX2012) and view transaction history.  Just make sure your dimension display is configured to show the 'location' inventory dimension.
