How do I 'Un-Consume' a material?

Posted on by 1,048

NAV 2013,

A Production Order created by Planning Worksheet is released

The Manually flushed material is consumed for the production order (including the Lot number LOT123).

The production order needs to be created again (for example something had gone wrong setting this one up) by zeroing the quantity and creating a new Production order.

I now want to consume LOT123 (which was consumed by the previous prod. order) for this new production order since it has not had anything done to it yet.

How would I free up LOT123 so I can re-use it?

Thanks

Dave K

You have to post correction on first (wrong) Production Order. You can do that with Production Journal. In Consumption Quantity you need to fill wrong quantity for correction (as minus; e.g. from 5 to -5). On Item Tracking Lines, you need to fill Lot No. (LOT123), in Quantity (Base) - the same quantity as line and you need link this line with Appl.-to Item Entry. You have to enter original date, as well.

After that, you can post this journal and you will get this quantity on inventory stock with Lot. No.
