PO Workflow Approval using position heirarchy

I am using position heirarchy and signing limit to design the PO workflow.

The requirement is that if a user creates a purchase order, and the value of the purchase order is less than the signing limit of the user, the purchase order is automatically approved.

This is contradictory to the design of the workflows where every document has to be approved by at least one other person.

The users wants to simplify the maintenance of the workflows by using Employee signing limits in the condition for Auto approval. But it seems that the only time you get access to the Employee signing limits in a condition, is when assignment type is Hierarchy.

Please help me with the best possible solution.

Regards

Shubha

    Hi Shubha,

I have the exact same question.
Using automatic actions seems not to be possible for the PO approval workflow since field employee.approval limit.purchase order cannot be chosen in the dropdown field when setting up automatic actions.
Did you find a way to solve this issue?

    Thankyou in advance.

    Hi Community member,

I checked here the assignment type is user and you can add condition based on the fields that you want, but what you want to make sure about it, the fields are exists on the Document Query of the Workflow

    Thanks,
    Waed Ayyad
