Is there a format/template to align check's layout -reduce developer's efford?

Hi All, 
In the past, I had to measure every detail (inches/cm) to determine where the information should be placed on the check. If cosmetic of the check's layout is not important, are there any formats or templates that I can use that are accepted by most banks?  Thanks
