How to change a Report Layout date format

I'm creating a custom report layout for posted sales order shipments and the date format shows the time along with the date. How do I format the date settings to not show the time. I do not know how to use Visual Studio Code with BC to make this change with AL.

Changing the format of the Date/Time Format in Inbox

    Click on the View tab.

    Then click View Settings.

In the Advanced View Settings dialog box, click Format Columns

In Available Fields on the left highlight Received

From the Format drop-down menu (click the down arrow to the right of the format field), then select how you want it displayed. In the below example the format selected would display date and time.

    Click OK

Then Click OK again on the Advanced View Settings dialog box.

RE: How to change a Report Layout date format

Sorry I realize I was not very clear. I exported a custom report layout from Business Central into MS Word.. When I import the customized report I edited in Word, back into Business Central, and run the report, the dates all show up with the time (4/8/2020 12:00:00 AM) I do not want the date fields to show the time. I can not find any settings or options to set the date format of an XML field in MS Word. I have tried Ctrl+F9 {ShptDate_SalesShptHeader \@ MM/dd/yyyy} but it results in a blank field when the report is run.

    In VS Code,

    For reports format as a string put column(ShptDate_SalesShptHeader; format("Shipment Date", 0, '<day>/<month>/<year>'))

[ assuming your fields are what i think it will be :) ]
