Notifications for every appointment once tracked

Hi,

Users in our organization are using CRM Client for Outllook and are tracking their appointments inCRM by clicking Track in CRM button on Outlook.

Strangely, I am being notified for every appointment that is tracked in CRM from the users outlook. I am not even a part of the meeting and I don't own those appointments too.

If I open the tracked record in Dynamics CRM, I don't see me as the owner or organizer or a part of the meeting in any way.

How is it that I'm being notified for every tracked appointment. Those appointments are also populating in my Outlook calendar as well.

Any ideas? Thank you,

    Hi Gagandeep,

    How are you being notified?

Are there any automated processes/workflows firing on create of appointments?

    Regards,

    Sean

    Hi Sean,

By notified I mean, those appointments are populating in my Outlook calendar and I'm receiving those pop-ups in outlook regarding meeting requests.

Could it be because I'm the Owner of the Email Server Profile in CRM? I'm not sure. But that shouldn't be the case, right?

    Hi Community,

I have kind of figured this out and I believe rightly!

This was happening due to changes made to Synchronization Settings for Outlook or Exchange.

A new user filter was created to Sync Appointments without any Party settings. The default filter for Party is "Party = Current User", which was removed for my user and I was receiving any and every appointment sync'ed with CRM onto my Outlook calendar. I've updated this filter and hopefully shouldn't see this happening anymore.

Still under observation. Will update you all soon on this.
