Printing the last page of a report

(0) ShareShare
ReportReport
Posted on by

I have a user who wants to print a certain page of a report (in this case, the last page)  However, when she hits the print button on the screen version, it's sent straight to the printer instead of popping up on her screen asking which printer or which page she wants to print.  The problem seems to be limited to her computer because if she signs in elsewhere, it works fine.

Where should I be looking?

This is related to the printer preferences. Go to Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Devices and Printers on this specific workstation, check which printer is set as default, and go for the "Printing Preferences"

Or you could easily remove the default printer and re-setup it.

I did remove the printer, grab the latest drivers, and then reinstalled...no change though.

I'll go compare settings on the printing preferences page.

I can confirm that didn't affect anything.  I compared all settings to a working workstation and they were already identical.  I even closed GP, changed the default printer to another printer, and re-loaded the report...no change.

Okay then, we are clear about the setup now.

I believe this might be related to "Named Printer". There is an option under Named Printer Setup window which states the following "Do Not Display System Print Dialog"

If this is checked, then the report will go immediately to the printer without displaying the usual printing dialog.

Please go to Dynamics GP > Tools > Setup > Named Printer.

    Your feedback is highly appreciated.
