Hi,
Now, I'm using the marketing instance installed on the powerportals apps and not on an external CMS. So, my question is; will the form capturing will work then or not?
Yes, the capture form can also work for the forms in portals.

Once properly configured form capture will work regardless of the instance.

Please let me explain my scenario,
I was running the Marketing instance on my external CMS and the form capturing and tracking was working good, but after moving the marketing instance to be installed on the D365/PowerApps Portal, the form capturing and tracking not working well. Note: when I'm checking the Form Capture's insight I can only see data in the visits tab, but there is no data found for submissions (after testing the form), please see the below SS:
