Can anybody provide a short summary of the functions in Dynamics Field Service not in Dynamics Business Central Service Order Management and vice versa?
D365 has far greater resource scheduling and time capture capabilities out the box. Given it is built on a CRM it lacks in the inventory mgt. or WMS facilities. BC service mgt. is geared more towards bench based servicing as the mobile client isn’t as intuitive as the full web one - especially if you do timesheets. Can’t be captured in the mobile/tablet app without customisation or a separate PowerApp.
D365 also has a clear link to sales but BC does not. Totally separate modules for BC.
