Hi All,

We are having our development work carried out by a MS implementaton partner. We have two instances Dynamics CRM 365 (Prod/Dev), we need to convert the Prod (not used at the moment) into a Sandbox for testing data migration after deployment of customisations from Dev into it. Our partner said this is not possible as we have to maintain a Prod instance at all times and have to buy another instance even but the current Prod is redundant for now, is this the case or can we convert the Prod to a sandbox and back to Prod when we are ready to GoLive? Hi Alex,

Exactly the steps I followed to reset it earlier, the question was based on a silly statement by the partner that we have to always maintain a Prod instance, guess not from all indications, many thanks

If the production instance is not used why don't you use it as UAT and after that use it as a production when you go live.

But when you go live you need to get another instance to do the UAT with. which should be a copy of the production.
