    Basically you need to do things in the following order:

    1. Extend all the standard tables where you want to store your new field
    2. Extend all the standard pages / reports where you want to display your new field
    3. Identify and subscribe to the necessary integration events in the posting routines (Codeunit 80) where you need to fill in the data in the tables you extended under point 1.

    To added to what Inge stated.... you'll need the fields on the sales lines (you can populate from the header). You'll need these fields in the item journal and in the value entry tables. Your code must see the data move from sales line to item journal to value entry table. Most times the Transferfields command makes this happen (this is an old school NAV command-might not be the same now)
