Expired stock and MRP

Hi all, I am testing how the Req and Planning Worksheet deals with expired stock. Surprisingly it does not recommend I order more stock to deal with expired stock. Is there something im missing here? I have a fixed re-order policy, all SOH is expired and no suggestion to reorder is made in either worksheets so the system is still counting expired stock as invenotry which can be used to full an open sales order. NOTE I have switched on all LOT tracking options including strict expiry
