Stop BPFs from automatically activating upon record insertion

My organization has an custom data entity with a BPF where 200 records are imported daily via a dataflow. We noticed that the BPFs for this data entity are automatically activated whenever a new record is created. Is there a way to configure Dynamics so that users must manually activate the BPF on the form instead of the BPF automatically activating?

    HI,

    You can override the default logic of business process flows getting applied automatically to new entity records. To do so, set the ProcessId attribute of the entity to one of the following values while creating a new entity record:

    Set to Guid.Empty to skip setting a business process flow for new entity records. You might want to do that if you are bulk creating entity records, but don't want business process flow to be applied to them.

    You will need to write Pre-Operation plugin on Custom Entity to set Guid.Empty
