Run time error

When I doing the item transfer entry, the system will pop out the Microsoft Visual basic error message - "run-time error 3704, operation is not allowed when the object is closed". Why does it happened?

    Does this happen every time you try and do a transfer? Exactly when do you  get the error (when you open the window, when you enter the transaction date, when you enter an item number, a site?...exactly when?)

    If you try and process a transfer entry for a different item / site etc...do you still get this error?

    Is there any more information given with the error? What happens when you ignore the error and carry on? Can you complete the transaction?

    Does the item number you are working with contain any apostrophes or other unusual characters?

    I'm sure some customization on the Transfer entry is causing this error. What you can do to confirm is, Go to MS Dynamics GP=>Tools=>Customize=>Customization Status and Disable the Customizations. Try doing the transfer again now and see if it is coming again

    If it is working fine, then you can realize it is an error caused by a customization done on the Item Transfer.

    You could try installing a new client, service pack it up to the version you are currently running, use the Dynamics.set file created by the install to launch GP, and test if you get the error message. If not, its probably a VB development or something that is kicking in on the other client?

    Have you asked IT or your GP partner? If its a customisation, they will know about it.

    It only happened for the terminal service user that use the remote desktop connect to the server. For local user that got installed the GP is working fine. When I restart the server it is back to normal, but after few hours the error occur again. In addition, the Internet explorer can't browse the web after the error occur. Please advise.
