SQL Page Verify Checksum

Has anyone changed the SQL Page Verify option to CHECKSUM for a GP Database? I had a client who recently changed that setting. It is a 15GB database and I am concerned that as new pages get added to their database, we may start to notice processing degradation to to the increased overhead of this option.

    I have this set on all my sql server databases as it is a Recommended Best practice. I have no issues as my dbase is round 30 gig.
