How to create Store Template Database

I have a customer who is already using HQ environment and running 12 store. Now they want me to create a store template database that they can use for future stores. Please provide some info with steps.

 

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    create new store ID, then Use HQ Admin to create empty store DB by copy other store db's master as template.

    Once start to use, update store ID in the table.

    The TEMPLATE database is meant to transfer to new store databases locally managed data, such as security settings, cashiers, receipt templates, etc.

    - Backup the store database of the store you wish to use as a "template"

    - If not there already, install Store Operations on the same machine hosting the HQ database; the executables will not be used. Patch up SO to the same level as HQ.

    - Restore the backup of the database you took onto a new store ops database you will name TEMPLATE

    - On the next new store database, use this as your template; note when you restore the exported database onto the permanent new store server, you have to edit the store info in SO Mgr - File - Configuration - Store, as the original store info gets restored there.
