Is appsource extension installed per environment or per tenant?

Hi all,

I'd like to ask the knowledgeable folk here:

If I install an appsource marketplace app is this installed across all production environments on the tenant? Or would I need to install this separately in each production environment where I want to use it.

We are wanting to get a localization for a non-Microsoft supported region, but not sure if installing this would interfere with our other production environments on a different localization.

Is appsource extension installed per environment or per tenant?

Extensions are per Environment. This is so you can install an extension in a Sandbox for testing prior to deploying on the Production environment. If you have multiple Production environments, each environment will have its own list of Extensions.

Be aware, when you copy an environment, the newly created environment will have all the copied environment's extensions installed.
