Hi Friends,

I have a doubt regarding Business Portal Upgrade Processing.

Now i have upgraded my GP2010 to GP 2013R2. I have already installed and working in BP 5.0. Now do i need to upgrade the BP 5.0 to BP 6.0 ? or Shall i can continue my work in BP 5.0 without upgrading to BP 6.0 ? or The upgrade process for BP 5.0 to 6.0 is must be done??

Thanks in Advance

Regards,

Sathiya

    Hi Sathiya,

GP2013 supports BP 6.0 version. so the upgrade needs to be done.

Always read the upgrade manual for questions like this!

Keep in mind that BP 5.0 and 6.0 support different versions of SharePoint.  Plan on upgrading that as well.

    Thanks

    Hi Jonathan,

Thanks a lot for your comment. I have already read the manual. But in that they have not said about BP should or should not upgrade,if we upgrade the GP. So i got doubt and posted this question.

Once again thanks for your valuable comment..

    Hi Rob,

Thanks for your comment. As i read the upgrade manual for BP, in that they have mentioned for BP 6.0 the SharePoint 2010 will support. Both the BP 5.0 and BP 6.0 can support SharePoint 2010. Only think is BP 6.1 will work on SharePoint 2013.

Once again thanks for your comment.,

BP 5.0 supports WSS 3.0 or Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007.  BP 5.1 and 6.0 both support SharePoint 2010.  BP 6.1 supports SharePoint 2013.

    Thanks

    Rob
