Database storage capacity reduced by 50% suddenly from production instance.

There is no deletion of data. Previous size was 92 GB....currently it is showing 42 GB in our production instance which is dangerous.

Pl. suggest .

I have the same question (0)

Are you still old model or new capacity based model? Have you got any maintenance job that clears older records like workflow sessions?

A screenshot might be useful to identify if you are referring to overall or just the production db capacity

first of all do you mean Capacity or Capacity usage? If it's Capacity, you should check with your CSP or Partner Manager or Support - that's not something the community can help you with.

If it's Capacity usage you should go to Resources -> Capacity -> Storage Capacity, then click on the little "chart" symbol for the instance you're worried about - then you'll get a graph for each of the three usages (data, file, log) and you can see which entities use up how much storage, and you can see when and where the drop in usage occured (unless it's way back when). If that doesn't show you what you want to know, you can ask Support for more detailled information on your database usage (we had the reverse effect due to Insights modules being activated without our knowledge, causing some 100gb of unwanted and unexplained file usage)

Hello Dhara, I agree with previous comments, but would suggest you to consider to raise a ticket with Support team since if no data was deleted there is a chance potentially of what happened in your org was storage deflection due to expected index drop, but needs to be evaluatedby Support team.
