1095 C not populating information for entire year

We installed the year end update for 2016 and moved our company into a test environment to run the wage file to test the 1095 C as we had a lot of trouble with them last year.  We found that none of our employees are correct.  Our insurance is from November to October.  We found that all the employees that have been with the company for over a year only show data from November to December this year and the rest of the year is either blank or wrong.  Anyone have recommendations on where we should even start looking?

I am guessing that you did not have your User Date set correctly when you made the edits to your Health Insurance Enrollment records. I would suggest you take a look at the records in the UPR00905 table and ensure you have records with the "Effective Date" is set prior to November of 2016. If not, you will need to either massage the data in SQL or send me an email (tfranz@integrity-data.com) and I will send you a free one-window utility where you can edit the employee ACA data via Dynamics GP.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Samantha,

There are two tables that you can refer to in my blog about ACA information, there is also a view there for reporting that will create a smartlist for you to view your data and see what might have happened.  If these employees were there last year, really you do not need to touch their records again, but we are using user date of when changes happen to records so this might be part of the confusion.

Thank you for the link.  I was able to take a look, however the links in your article do not lead anywhere.  I have tried inprivate browsing.   Is there another place to download the link?

The effective dates on the 4 employees that I am troubleshooting with are all for November of 2015.  Does this roll forward to the new year?

I emailed you the docs, LMK if you did not get them.

We had an issue with the "roll over" employees but we fixed that in mid year update and since you applied year end, then it should be fine and take what is in 2015.

Worst case, you can save the record with a 2016 date to verify, but it should work.

    Thanks

    Terry

I was able to (in the test environment) take one user and go to 01-01-2016 and create an entry for the year.  I then recreated the wage file.  It did not resolve the issue.  The 1095C did not change.  I looked at the UPR00900 table and found the existing records and the new record in this table.  Could something be corrupted?

In conclusion, I found that on the UPR00905 table that there were multiple entries for each month and multiple pay codes for some of the employees.  Terry was able to clear up a misconception I had that it will pull the last entry.  Meaning it was pulling the last record of the month, not the most recent.    It will also only use the last  code as reference and did not refer to both.  Meaning we could not have multiple codes.

In our test environment I was able to remove rows and create new entries.  I then was able to verify that the information was correct in the 1095C with only one entry a month.  We have over 600 entries.  I then used the free tool from Integrity Data to edit the UPR00905 table through an interface.  I then tested adding and removing a record and looked up the SQL and they corresponded perfectly.  We will be using the tool to clean up wayward entries that were made as we learned the HR and then will place a protocol for employees to follow to update records through the normal Great Plains interface.
