Advance View: Active Incidents with no Active Activity

Hi.

Is there a way to view all active incidents that do not have an active activity assigned to them using and advance view?

I mean:

Lets say there are 100 active incidents. Each incident has 1 active service activity. This means there are 100 service activities in total. 

Some times a service activity might be closed but not its parent incident. I want to be able to identify these incidents.

Any help  would be really appreciated.

    Not out of the box.

    You can create a workflow that will fire up every time an activity is create and check if that activity is connected to a case, if so, add a checkbox to the case named "Has Activities?" and the workflow will check that checkbox. Create a view that displays all Cases where the checkbox is unchecked and you will have yourself a view of cases without activities. :)

    Hi Jean,

    There is no way to do negatives like this with Advanced Find.  A workaround is to create an attribute on the incident that indicates whether there is an open service activity.  Depending on your processes, you may be able to update this attribute with workflow (e.g. if there is always only one service activity).  Or you might have to create a plug-in that keeps this attribute up to date (e.g. if there are multiple service activities).
