Analisys View Freezes even with a few records

I have a custom page of type list.
Even with a few records the analisys view freezes. I thouth that the cause was the number of decimals:

But now I have modified the program to manage a maximum of 5 decimals.
If I pass in Analisys View Mode the page stop working:

Even with only 20 records.

The environment is saas. The version of Business Central is 28.1. The environment is a sandbox but the same behavior is in production.

Thank you

You may have hit a record limit with the analysis views. It also may be something else in that page. I would test using the Performance Profiler to see what data or codeunits are taking a long time to run.

This sould help give you an idea of why its running so slow. You can read more here: Performance Profiler overview - Business Central | Microsoft Learn

If it still persists you can always try using filters to reduce the number of records in the analysis view.

You need to define Decimal places in your field or directly use Autoformat. Below are a few standard examples that may give you some hints.

    Hello,
I don’t think the decimal precision is the real cause here. Analysis Mode loads and prepares the page dataset differently from the normal list page, so if the custom list contains FlowFields, heavy calculated fields, fields populated in triggers, temporary-source logic, or expensive joins/lookup logic, it can freeze even with a small number of visible records. I would test by creating a very simple list page on the same table with only normal physical fields, no FlowFields, no calculated display fields, and no logic in page triggers; if Analysis Mode works there, add fields back one by one until you find the field/logic causing it. Also check FlowFields specifically, because Microsoft documents that FlowFields are calculated dynamically when included on pages and can cause performance issues. If the simplified page still freezes in SaaS 28.1, I would raise it to Microsoft as a product issue with a minimal reproducible page/table.

@Teagen Boll thank you I have used the performance profiler, but I have not flowfields or calculated fields. The problem exists even with a few records.

@YUN ZHU Thank you. I'll try to format every field. The strange thing is that up to version BC27.5 worked.

@OussamaSabbouh Thank you. The page is over a flat table. No flowfields no calculated columns. It worked up to version BC27.5. With version BC28.0 it does not work even only 20 records.

    Hi,

I doubt the decimals is the real cause here. From what I see in practice, Analysis Mode feels like it loads more than what it show and build the pivot on the client, so what kill it is usually the volume and heavy FlowFields or calculated columns on the page, not how many decimal you display. But that is my impression from use, not something Microsoft document in detail.

Your filter Key 61074..61094, I would check how many records that actually return, and if it is even applied before you go into Analysis Mode. A range like that can still be many rows, and if the page or table

has extensions, FlowFields, OnAfterGetRecord or lookups firing per row, the count tell you nothing about the real load.
So first test with a really tight filter, few rows for sure, and see if it open. Also which version you are on? Early Analysis Mode around v22 had real performance problems that got better in later updates, so check you are patched.

    Hope this help.

@Grigorios Mavrogeorgis Thank you. The same page worked on version BC27.5. It does not work from BC28.x.
There are no flowfields in the table. This is strange because the table under the page is a statistical table with many columns but no calculated columns.
The debugger does not give suggestions. No errors only the page stops.
