Service Contract for less than one year

Dear Experts,

I have a scenario where I need to create a service contract for less than a year. So the starting date is for example 01/01/19 and the expiration date is 30/06/19 and the Line Value and Contract Value is 20,000 making invoice per period to be 20,000/6=3,333.33. But unfortunately the system is calculating 20,000/12=1666.67 amount per period. Now if I invoice the contract for 6 months the value will come out to be 1,666.67*6=10,000 which will be less than my actual contract value. Kindly advise how can I deal with this scenario?

Thanks for you assistance.

    Hi hehexd,

Apologies for getting back to you so late. Actually this is not the logical solution as service contract is a very important document for us and we cannot mess around with the value like this.

My main goal is to create monthly or complete invoice with correct amounts and close a contract once all has been invoiced.

    Regards.
