Hello,

Which Roles should a user have to execute api calls from dynamics CRM?

    any user with a security role can execute API inside Dynamics, but the returned results will be based on the security roles.

    For example if the user is a System Administrator can do everything, if the user has a role to just read contacts, other APIs than retrieving the contacts will fail (for example an API to create a contact)
