powerapps portal webform save button

I need to add a custom save button into a Dynamics365 Powerapps Portal webform to post form data into dynamics but not move to the next tab. 

It is insane this functionality isn't available out of the box. have any of you cleaver people done this?

ps, I have seen Debajit's Power Apps & Dynamics 365 Blog, and it doesn't work. It adds the button, but doesn't post the data. I have also tried to contact him, and he's not responding.

    Please use PowerUsers forum for new Portal questions:

    powerusers.microsoft.com/.../PowerAppsPortals

    The idea of a WebForm is to add a next/next/finish process to the user.

    Debajit's article still does a form post, it only prevents from going to the next page. Did you get this working?

    if you don't want a form post, you would have to go very custom and use WebAPI.. but that would be a lot of work

    Thanks for posting. 

    The article claims to do the post but when the configured save button is pressed, no data is inserted to dynamics. 

    Have you got it to work?
