    Hi Ranjith,

Can you Try to  give user permissions for your user in the SQL Server and install again.

    Hi,

The SQL server is installed itself with the Business Central on prem installation. After that I have given the user permission in SQL server and assigned the database role membership as db_owner too. But still the issue exist, now it showing the error as attached when connecting the web client / NAV client. The services for Business central and SQL are running. And also the business central application server is running.

    Hi Ranhith,

Check the Event Log for the actual error message. It might be a permission issue for the Service Account.

The account that is used to run service should be set as Db_owner in the database.

    Hi,

The following error is there in the log "Windows Installer: Error: Failed to connect to SQL database.  (-2147467259   master)". And as attached the error showing at the completion of installation.

I have given the administrator permission to my windows login and UAC is disabled.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hello,

As a workaround, you can run setup.exe again and make sure SQL Server is not part of the setup. Via SQL Server Management Studio that is installed on the SQL Server, restore the backup from product DVD.

Run Development Client and connect to the database, from there, alter the database and upload the license file. Report back to the forum if you are running the D365BC release without Windows Client / Development Client.

    Thanks.
