Hi,

I have a requirement in which I have to create a custom html control onto email entity. When I click on this control I have option to attach file.

Till now , I have implemented Html web Resource and that popup is coming to Attach the file. But now I have to show that attachment onto CRM page i.e in the Attcahments Grid of the Email Entity.

Can anyone please tell how to implement this?

    Hey Priyanka,

Do you mind me asking the need to implement a custom HTML resource for adding attachments? This functionality is already existing on the platform. Take a look at the screenshot from Out of Box email entity.

    Thanks Piyush for replying.

You are absolutely right but I need this same functionality through a custom HTML control.

Can you please tell how to fetch data from HTML onto CRM page ?

That's what I am trying to understand as to why do you want to rebuild something complex which is already present as an option.

Yes, absolutely but no choice, that's the requirement I have to implement.

Ok, I feel you should go back and question the requirement itself and get the answer of why because it is already a robust solution that is available. You are not bringing in additional value to the system instead further consuming resources which can be utilized for something else but I would let this decision be your's.

As for the question here are a few links which will help you get this thing done. The idea here is to create an object for the ActivityMimeAttachment entity and attach this entity record to your original email activity.
