Purchase order pre-payments with 3 way matching

Good day

I am trying to setup a prepayment on purchase orders but cannot post a prepayment invoice. The system picks up a product receipt invoice matching error preventing posting of the invoice. This does not make sense as to me as you would not post a receipt before a prepayment?

A procurement category is setup with the required postings. We are using three-way matching. Please see included screen shots.

Try to create a pre-payment against the Purchase order and then post generate pre-payment invoice? It looks like you are trying to generate a regular invoice which requires 3 way matching.

Hi, thank you for your response.

I did do a prepayment first and then a prepayment invoice, see below my steps.

Am I still missing something?
