Subledger journal entries not yet transferred- Reason

Hi,

Whenever the field "voucher"  remains blank  after posting/invoicing, subledger journal entries not yet transferred in general ledger module is checked, as it gets stored here and from here, when the option transfer now is given, gets transferred and can be viewed in the respective form as journal entries.

This however doesn't happen for all the transactions, almost all transactions would get posted and entries can be viewed immediately after posting, but at times, this wouldn't be the case, hence the above process is done, that is, from subledger journal entries, the unposted entries will be transferred.

The solution is clear, on what needs to be done when entries are not being displayed.

However, my question is, why does this happen only for a few transactions?

I read few posts regarding this, which again gives a solution to the problem, but I could not find anything in specific that talks about why this happens?

Please share your thoughts.

Thanks

srividhya

    Hi Srividhya,

The main common reason we could see for this issue is Batch transfer rule is not set to Asynchronous.

Though this set as Asynchronous still we have seen cases reported mainly when posting Free text invoices (subledgers and Source document framework related). That is the reason, there are further bug fixes done and feature 'Subledger transfer to General Ledger performance optimization' introduced.

Hope this helps you to some extent.

    Regards,

    Sreepriya.

I agree with Sreepriya.  I've seen this behavior as well with Free text invoices, even when Batch transfer is set to Asynchronous.

I have set the batch job recurrence to “1 minute” and it was posting automatically.

    Hi srividhya,

There are only some select document types that is using the subledger transfers for posting the accounting entries. E.g. sales order invoices are posted directly to the ledger, but purchase order invoices are using the subledger posting framework.

In addition to have Batch transfer rule is not set to Asynchronous, you need to run job "Batch transfer for subledger journals" with recurrence to transfer some document types subledger. You can run this job as follows:
