Creating Cues using AOT

Hello,

I have created cues as described in the following webpage:

But when I try to add the cue in the activities section of Role Center page, no hyperlink is created. But, in AOT when open the menu item associated with the cue, it works...
However when I try to create the Cue using the method describe in the following page:

It works. When I create cue using the advance filter option from the sales Order list page and save it as a cue and then add it to the Role center page , it works perfectly fine.
I checked all the properties and already present cue. I am not able to figure out why it works this way and the first way it does not.
