Is Dynamics Business Central completely web based or is a client still necessary? If a client is necessary do you get some added functionality with the client? Is there a comparison list of the functionality that you get with  and without the client? Thanks, Andy

    There is also an add-in for Outlook and Teams that lets you work with your BC data from those applications.

    Can be handy for some organizations.

    Hi,

    Dynamics 365 Business Central has web based client that does not require a download. You do have the option of downloading a mobile for the phone and tablet, but the web client works well on those devices too. There is a desktop application which can also be downloaded, if desired, but is not necessary. In short, you do have options and can run it only as a web based app.

    There is nothing to download if that is what you are asking.  You can use it 100% in the browser without loss of capability.  The only thing you may want to download is the tablet and phone apps for access while on the go.

    I think you still have the option to download a windows client, but I don't know why you would at this point.
