Debugging the rowData of a view

I’m trying to display icons in my view.   But I’m having a hard time getting the exact name of the view Column so I can check it’s value.

in one example I found the writer was able to show the JSON representation of the rowData object passed into the function.

however he did not explain how he was able to get that.
I tried to use the  xrm.page and found the grid and retrieved the data but it was unreadable.

does anyone know how I can get this data?

Here is the article

https://www.c-sharpcorner.com/article/view-customization-with-javascript-in-dynamics-365/

as well, I couldn’t even do a console write from within the JavaScript function

thanks for your help
