Work Order Service Duration Bookings

When creating a work order within Field Service, I add in a service called 'Labour' at a duration of 1 hour.

I then want to book that work order to a resource which should calculate the duration at 1 hour, however it ignores any durations entered in a service directly in the work order.

Duration of the service is an hour.

When trying to book the work order, it has 0 duration. The only one with a duration of 30mins was an Incident.

Why isn't it calculating any duration on the standard services?

The Work Order Service does not calculate the duration on the Resource Requirement. It is only used to calculate how much to charge on the Work Order.

You need to add a Work Order Service Task instead. Then this will add on to the duration

Thanks, but if you create an opportunity with service products in there that are converted into a work order. How are you suppose to calculate the duration of the work order without any guidance on estimated duration?

What you've said makes sense but I would also be nice if it could advise the scheduler how long the services add upto.

You can always create a workflow which creates the Work Order Service tasks when the Work Order Service is created?

Duration on Primary Incident type is used to show booking duration
