ER - Modified Purchase Order Excel Format - Repeating first row value across

Hello  dear experts

I have created a derived version of the Purchase Order Confirmation ( EXCEL) and created a derived order model as well as mapping.

the following order contains multiple lines with 2 products

10270   ( Product Life Status = Phased-out)

00029  ( Product Life Status = Released)

I modified the report to add the column Product Life Status  , but the report repeats the value "Phased-out" of product 10270   for each line .

This is the mapping  I created

Any clue of why this is not working?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

Can you please double check your binding.

Right below the order line node on the right-hand side of your screenshot it shows a relationship to the purchpurchordertmp datasource.

All nodes right below start with an @symbol indicating that they are taken from this datasource.

Yours does not show this symbol, which indicates that you might have selected a different datasource and as a result get the first record included in each line.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    You are right

here is what I did wrong

I had selected the field from the yellow node instead of selecting from the previous one.

Having said that , I am literally copying from existing logic without understanding what I am doing which is a good recipe for disaster.

I have been really struggling to understand concepts such as  Calculated fields , record lists , formulas in the ER.

    Hi Alessandro,

The standard Electronic Reports that MS ships are quite complex.

Many refer to invoices, packings slips and other rather complex documents.

Understanding them can take a while.

To get started, why don't you try to extract some simpler data e.g. your vendors with some vendor specific fields just to get more familiar with how electronic reporting works.

There are also a number of tectalks available that illustrate things in more detail.

Please check them out by selecting the resource button in this community forum.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    It is a good idea.

The reason I have been studyng the complex ones is that our AX partner suggested we use the standard Microsoft document to replace our current X++ reports and we will need to modify them by adding new fields or adding extra logic.
