Power Automate → BC E-Documents: file is accepted but never shows up

Hi all,

Hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

What I want: vendor invoices arrive by email as PEPPOL XML. I want Power Automate to grab the XML and hand it to Business Central's E-Documents module, so it becomes a draft purchase invoice I can review.

What works: if I upload the XML by hand in BC (Inbound E-Documents → Import XML), everything is fine. The document appears and the vendor is matched. So my setup in BC seems okay.

What doesn't: sending the same file from Power Automate, using the Business Central connector to create a record in newEDocuments.

The call comes back with 201 Created, and the response even shows my XML — so BC definitely receives it. But nothing ever appears in BC. No document, no error. It just quietly vanishes.

I've already tried turning the "process document" option on and off, running the job queue by hand, and reading the table back (that returns "This API does not support the receiving data", so it seems write-only).

My question: has anyone got this working from start to finish? The 2025 wave 2 release notes describe exactly this, but I can't find a single real example. Am I missing a step that makes BC actually process the file or does this only work with custom development?

Thanks!
