I have a new client who installed a new LS 2208 scanner that replaced the exact same model as their old scanner that quit working. Motorola had them download some driver that he installed and their POS started giving them error messages and stopped working. When I started helping them, they were to the point where when they tried starting POS, they got the splash screen and then nothing would load.
We are back to a point of POS loading, the scanner being able to scan an item in Item Lookup but it won't update the item in the Sales screen. When opening POS, it doesn't recognize the barcode scanner as new hardware. I've added what I thought was the scanner to the hardware list and I no longer get an error when opening POS saying it can't find it.
I'm used to RMS where you add the OPOS information and the name of the device at the register so I'm a little lost when it comees to POS 1.0.
Any ideas?
