here category is child under subsegment, but in category lookup, values where subsegment is ABC only should show up , as ABC is selected for subsegment Id above it , but category is also showing (AbCD , sub3) subsegment fields data ( thats should not come here ). relations are also properly defined

Hi sachin mittal,
You need to override the lookup event handler to filter values. Based on the selection of Subsegment you can filter category lookup.
Copy the lookup event handler of category control and paste it in the new class. Add code for lookup and also add range to it.

No, you need to override an lookup event handler method to achieve this.
