Hi

I have problems with AX2009 and after RU8 install I cannot preview SSRS reports in Visual Studio. I get these errors in windows event log:

Dynamics Adapter CreateAxaptaObject failed.

Unable to create object

Unable to create object

Microsoft.Dynamics.BusinessConnectorNet.XppException

   at Microsoft.Dynamics.BusinessConnectorNet.Axapta.CreateAxaptaObject(String className, Object[] paramList)

   at Microsoft.Dynamics.BusinessConnectorNet.Axapta.CreateAxaptaObject(String className, Object param1)

   at Microsoft.Dynamics.Framework.BusinessConnector.Session.DynamicsAdapter.CreateAxaptaObject(String className, Object param1)

AND

Microsoft Dynamics AX Business Connector Session 7.

X++ Exception has occured

Unable to create object

Unable to create object

I can still run reports from AX client but cannot make any Changes to them due to the fact that i can't run any report from Visual Studio.

Does anyone recognize this problem?

Are you sure the business connector local configuration is pointing at the correct AOS?

Did you also upgrade the business connector assemblies?

Can you check and see if the build version of this DLL is the right one for RU8?

    x:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics AX\50\Client\Bin\Microsoft.Dynamics.BusinessConnectorNet.dll

Can you run the same report without errors from within AX?

    Hi

The DLL have same version as RU8 (5.0.1500.6491) add the report is running in AX without errors

Can you please verify your local configuration for the business connector is pointing at the correct AOS?

You'll find it under Administrative Tools and Microsoft Dynamics AX Configuration for client configurations.

Assuming the Reporting Extension is installed correctly, please check to see if there are compilation issues the AOT. There are some classes that needs to be compiled from a client running on the machine having the extensions installed (due to references to the extension dll assemblies).

The client configuration is OK, have reinstalled the Reporting Extension and I compiled all classes in AOT and did this from Client on machine that also have Reporting Extension.

    The problem still persists.

    Any other suggestions?

    Hi Dalibor.

This is happening because probably you updated just the Application but not the Kernel, or inverse. Go to Help > About Microsoft Dynamics AX and verify.

You Kernel (components, client, server) and Application (AOT) should be exactly the same version, otherwise you could have some bugs with your rich client or external applications connecting through business connector (same engine), like SSRS.

    Cheers

    Hi,

I am also facing the same issue but while setting the dataset through business logic.

Error as read in eventlog :

    Dynamics Adapter CreateAxaptaObject failed.

    Unable to create object

    Unable to create object

Microsoft.Dynamics.BusinessConnectorNet.XppException at Microsoft.Dynamics.BusinessConnectorNet.Axapta.CreateAxaptaObject(String className, Object[] paramList) at Microsoft.Dynamics.BusinessConnectorNet.Axapta.CreateAxaptaObject(String className, Object param1) at Microsoft.Dynamics.Framework.BusinessConnector.Session.DynamicsAdapter.CreateAxaptaObject(String className, Object param1)

what could be the possible wayout since I am stuck with this error only?

    Hoping your reply.

    Thanks.

I encountered the problem twice, and I can conclude some remedy here to help others as:-

    - Initially I deleted few of the fields from AX -> Query -> Datasource after Setting Field Properties -> Dynamic = NO

-Then I added required field only....

Somehow I could resolve this "unable to create object issue..."

I hope it helps to others....
